In Denmark ESP becomes ESC |
| The Danish automobile club FDM and the car magazine Motor decided to stop using the name ESP as they have chosen to use the more international name ESC as the future name for Electronic Stability Control systems. Today the car manufacturers use more than 15 different names for ESC but the ChooseESC! campaign and the fact that both the EU and the US has decided to use ESC in the future might change the focus more towards ESC. A deciding factor might also be the influence from the work of defining a global technical regulation for ESC. More countries and also car manufacturers might join ESC to avoid some of today’s confusing messages to the consumers. |
